About Me: Lauren is a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and is currently working to obtain her LPC and currently under supervision to become a fully licensed counselor. Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Columbus State University and earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. Lauren is a member of Licensed Professional Counselor's Association of Georgia.
Lauren is under the clinical supervision of Ellie Wood, MA, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, CPCS, CFMHE, CCCE (Ellie@wearebackontrack.com) and can currently accept clients covered through Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (Anthem) and Cigna along with private pay clients.
Lauren believes in meeting clients where they are and guiding and supporting them to become the best version of themselves. Counseling has it's stigmas, but it is imperative to know that you'll be in a safe place to explore, grow, heal, and learn skills to reach your identified goals. In order to do so, Lauren utilizes multi-modal approaches of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness interventions to assist clients with reaching their goals and supporting their overall mental health journey.
Lauren is passionate about working with children, teens, and adults overcome current challenges, identifying currently used coping strategies and developing new coping skills to better manage life's challenges. Lauren works with clients that are facing anxiety, depression, life transitions (of all ages and stages), school/work issues, self-esteem, and stress. She wants to empower clients to know that who they are matters, what they feel matters, and what they say (and don't say) means something.
Lauren is currently accepting clients virtually and in-person in the Fayetteville office location.
